THINGS THAT PREVENT ME TO FROM LOSING WEIGHT| LOSING WEIGHT IS DIFFICULT 😓
Hello,
Welcome to my world and my space. I hope you are well?
Today, I am going to share some reasons why I cannot lose weight and maintain it.
I have tried and lost weight successfully. Exercising and dieting helped me. I have started another weight loss journey, you can read what I have decided to do HERE.
Latently, I have lost weight by fasting and skipping eating because I am busy.
So why is weight loss difficult for me?
FOOD
Personally, I love food. I love to cook and bake and so I love to eat.
Just imagine goat jollof rice with shito and Cole slaw.
Or Banku with grilled Mackerel red pepper, shito and slices of onions/tomatoes.
Or is it boiled yam and nkontomire stew?
Or, bofloat and porridge.
Just name it! Food will not let me be! Food is sweet and when you know how to make it, then you need to be intentional to lose the weight.
STATEMENTS
Sometimes when I want to lose weight then I remember statements like,
"You only live once (YOLO)"
"Tomorrow is not promised"
"Life is short"
"Life is too short not to be happy"
"Happy yourself"
"What will be will be"
When I remember these statements then I eat at 9pm or I drink that chilled malt with hot meat pie.
But then again, I need to remind myself that I need to be healthy.
LAZINESS
Sometimes I prefer to sleep or lie down and watch movies than to exercise or move around. So there you have it, laziness is preventing me from losing weight and maintaining it.
INTENTIONALITY
To losing weight, one needs to be conscious and intentional about it. That is one of the reason why I can't lose weight.
I am not intentional about it. Probably, that is why you can not lose weight too.
LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS
Having someone to make you accountable works. My husband wants to do this task but I always stop him because he takes that work pretty serious and I don't want stress and pressure.
When I joined an accountability group earlier this year, it helped me to be intentional because there was someone that I needed to report my eating and exercise routines. It helped me lose 2kg. Although my husband take his accountability work serious, I have no choice but to bring him on board.
