CHRISTIAN GRATITUDE JAR: ANOTHER FORM OF JOURNALING - PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

CHRISTIAN GRATITUDE JAR: ANOTHER FORM OF JOURNALING - PERSONAL EXPERIENCE Hello, Welcome to my world. The gratitude jar is something you can do for the new year or any day. We go through life and we sometimes think, we have failed, God has not be kind to us and w are not worth it. When you get to this point, having a gratitude jar is helpful. What is a Gratitude Jar? Gratitude Jar is a  jar that you put your answered prayers, prayer topics and the miracles that happen your way into. It serves as a reminder of all the things you need to be grateful for. For example, on your way to work you nearly had an accident but God saved you. You write it down and put it in your gratitude jar. Whenever you are going through a problem, you can write it on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. When your prayers are answered, you write your answered prayers on to a paper and place them into the jar.  At the end of the year or when you feel overwhelmed/unloved/stressed, pour out the pie...

THINGS THAT PREVENT ME TO FROM LOSING WEIGHT| LOSING WEIGHT IS DIFFICULT 😓 Hello, Welcome to my world and my space. I hope you are well? Today, I am going to share some reasons why I cannot lose weight and maintain it. I have tried and lost weight successfully. Exercising and dieting helped me. I have started another weight loss journey, you can read what I have decided to do HERE. Latently, I have lost weight by fasting and skipping eating because I am busy. So why is weight loss difficult for me? FOOD Personally, I love food. I love to cook and bake and so I love to eat.  Just imagine goat jollof rice with shito and Cole slaw. Or Banku with grilled Mackerel red pepper, shito and slices of onions/tomatoes. Or is it boiled yam and nkontomire stew? Or, bofloat and porridge. Just name it! Food will not let me be! Food is sweet and when you know how to make it, then you need to be intentional to lose the weight. STATEMENTS Sometimes when I want to lose weight then I remember statemen...

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RTDRS PHONE HEARING IN ALBERTA

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RTDRS PHONE HEARING IN ALBERTA Hello, I am hope you are well? Welcome to my blog. I am sharing this because I looked everywhere on the internet to see if anyone had shared their personal experience to prepare me and I found none. I reached out to people who had gone through the process and it still did not prepare me for what I experienced. So let me share my experience, but before then a disclaimer: I am not in anyway saying this is how your experience will be or this is the standardized format. I hope it helps you. This blog post will focus on just the court hearing experience. I might share the days leading up to it in another post.  Background I was the applicant. I applied to evict my tenant for continuous late payment of rent. We were told the process will take 3 hours but it took less than an hour (41 minutes). On the day, I was ready with my evidence and had written what I will say when I am called to speak. My written notes had everyt...

THINGS I AM GOING TO DO TO LOSE AND MAINTAIN WEIGHT|DURABLE LIFESTYLE| PERSONAL EXPERIENCE Hello, I am hope you are well? So let's talk about weight loss, I have tried to lose weight twice and I have been successful. Two things helped me: exercising and dieting. My biggest issue has been how to maintain the weight when I lose it. Recently, I joined a group that support durable lifestyle changes and I liked it. The goal was to find something you can incorporate in your daily activities. When I joined the group, I tried and I was able to lose weight from 97 kg to 95kg. Yesterday, I was at my doctor's office and I realized I was still at 95kg but I have been advised to lose the weight. This is because I work corporate and I am always sitting at my desk. Plus my hobbies include sitting and not being active and so I need to be intentional about losing weight and being active. Thus, these are the ways I am planning to create sustainable and durable life...

Before you have your baby, Read this!

Before you have your baby, read this!     NB: Caveat - This post is PG16, Explicit   I had absolutely no idea of what I am about to share with you before I had a baby. And I am guessing there are people here who probably have no idea as well; and that is why I am sharing them. So here you go with things I wished I knew before I had a baby:   1.       Soreness in my Vagina.   I think that should have been obvious right? Well, a baby(big) was going to come out of my vagina (small) and so it will make sore. No, it was not that obvious to me. So, I walked into the labour delivery ward for checkup because my water broke, and I saw a young woman being wheeled out after having a baby and thought she came to have the baby in a wheelchair. Not knowing, I was going to be wheeled out the next day because I will be to sore to walk. After I had my baby. I tried to get up to use the washroom and I almost fell. The nurse rushed to hold me and told me t...

To Leave or to Stay in a Toxic Work Environment: Personal Experience

To Leave or to Stay in a Toxic Work Environment: Personal Experience Leave immediately!  If you can afford to take care of yourself for 6 months whiles you look for another job, leave and keep your sanity. In this write up, I will refer to the job as "the toxic job".  My Story This was my second toxic work environment experience. My first was a sexual abuse issues which is different from what I am about to share.  When I started  "the toxic job", everything was confusing and strange. I had to google the signs and challenges I was experiencing, and it was only then that I realized that I was working in a toxic environment.   My first day on the job, I did not feel cohesion on the team (I have a good intuition).  Also, I could instantly feel like there were people trying to tell me with their eyes that I should run for my life. Hahaha, I can laugh now but it was not a funny experience.  Most of the team members kept asking why I had left my previ...

Be Present in your Children lives: Personal Experience and Tips

Image
Being present in your children’s life can take many dimensions which include 1.       Physical 2.       Emotionally/Psychologically 3.       Spiritual 4.       Financial, etc.   Most parents often focus on the spiritual (they pray and fast for them) and financial (they provide for them and buy them gifts) aspects, which are great!  Please continue doing that.  Most often, the physical and Emotional/Psychological aspects are ignored.  This blogpost is about being present Physically and Emotionally/Psychologically for your children.  As parents, we need to be there for our children physically and emotionally/psychologically. My story I have talked about how my mum was present in my life in this blogpost, Your children should be your friends. The best thing I had as a child was a mother that was present. Till now, my mum is my best friend.  My m...
